The Plateau of Deccan arouses out to confront the Western Ghat mountains forming a unfathomable vegetation habitat-Bandipur National Park.The Park which is covering 87,420 hectares is situated within Chamarajanagar district in the southern Indian state of Karnataka, touching borders of Tamil Nadu & Kerala.Earlier, it was a small 90sq km region hunting ground for the Maharaja,which eventually evolved as a sanctuary in 1931,and evaded itself in 1941 as a National Park adjoining the Nagarhole National Park,which lying towards its southern edge in the states of Kerala and Tamilnadu. Bandipur now coming under the vast Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve,has became one of the first of India's Tiger Reserves and the Southernmost of the nine reserves specially established under Project Tiger in 1973.It is also one of the best game sanctuaries in India to catch snapshot of wildlife in a closer view.

Bandipur Park-an Exotica for camping students where events like trekking,stream play, fishing, boating and camp fire apart from jungle safari and horse riding can be arranged safely with the permission of the Range officer
